Start with the asset and the holder's rights

A gold tokenization project needs a precise description of the underlying arrangement. The scope identifies the asset, the issuer, the custody or account structure and the claim or ownership interest provided to the holder.

Coretos maps that arrangement to asset records, investor information, issuance controls and servicing workflows. The platform should explain the relevant rights and redemption terms in the context of the actual instrument.

Connect custody records with the platform

The data model can include bar or lot identifiers, metal type, quantity, fineness, location and relevant documents, depending on the asset and structure.

We define how information arrives from the custodian or other responsible provider, who reviews it and how changes are reconciled. Physical movements, substitutions or corrections need a recorded process consistent with the instrument's terms.

RecordQuestions to resolve
Asset identificationWhich item, lot or account does the record refer to?
Quantity and specificationWhat unit, measurement and quality information apply?
Custody and locationWho holds the asset, under which arrangement, and how are changes confirmed?
Issuance eligibilityWhich records and approvals permit issuance under the project's rules?
ReconciliationHow are outstanding instruments, asset records and pending actions compared?

Define the issuance and supply controls

We design the process from approved asset or account information to an issuance instruction and updated holder records.

The scope identifies the required evidence, permissions and checks, together with the handling of incomplete or inconsistent data. Issuance, redemption and reconciliation are designed as connected workflows so that pending actions remain visible.

Illustrative workflow: the responsible provider confirms an eligible holding; an authorized reviewer approves the issuance input; the platform processes the instruction; token and holder records are updated; the resulting position is reconciled against the approved asset information.

Reserve reporting and independent assurance

The platform can publish approved reserve information with its source, date, scope and update status. It can also provide reporting and exports to support the work of the relevant reviewers.

A data feed, a custodian statement and an independent assurance report represent different forms of evidence. The platform should identify what the published information actually covers, including unresolved reconciliation items where required by the agreed reporting policy.

Coretos builds the technology and reporting workflows; the project establishes which parties supply and verify the underlying evidence.

Physical and cash redemption

Where the instrument provides redemption rights, the platform needs to implement the applicable process. Physical delivery and cash settlement can involve different conditions, fees, providers and completion records.

We design requests, eligibility checks, approvals and the sequence of asset, payment and token actions. The project defines how pending or failed requests are handled and when records are finalized.

For physical redemption, the requirements can include minimum quantities, permitted delivery arrangements and the parties responsible for release and receipt. For cash redemption, they can include the pricing source, applicable timing and payment instructions.

Extend the model to other commodities

Silver and other commodities introduce their own specifications, units, custody records and delivery processes. We assess those differences before applying a shared platform model.

Coretos can build common investor, administration and integration services with asset-specific issuance and servicing rules. Reporting, transfer controls and further trading capabilities can then be developed around the selected instruments.

Questions about gold tokenization platforms

Does a token always represent ownership of a specific bar?

No. The instrument and supporting arrangements determine the holder's rights. The platform needs to describe and administer that actual relationship.

Can we use our current vault or custody provider?

We assess its reporting, interfaces and operating responsibilities, then define the data and reconciliation requirements.

Can the platform support physical redemption?

Yes, where the instrument provides for it and the operational arrangements are in place. We build the request, approval and recordkeeping workflows around that process.

Can you help prepare the issuance project?

Yes. Coretos can discuss the proposed instrument, custody arrangement, operating requirements and platform options with your team.

Tell us about the commodity, custody arrangement, intended instrument and redemption model. We will help define the platform, integrations and operating scope.
